Welcome to Yuba College Women's Basketball

2016-2017 Yuba College 49ers Women's Basketball Outlook

The 2016-2017 campaign promises to be an exciting one. Head Coach Glenn Mayol brings back four key returners and a host of good recruits from throughout the Sacramento region. Coach Mayol is extremely happy with the amount of talent that has surfaced on the Marysville campus. According to Coach Mayol, "this is a very talented group, the only guarantee I can make is that we will play extremely hard and will give our opponents all they can handle, we will play an exciting brand of basketball and we will compete for 40 minutes, that is all a coach can ask for."

The 49ers return battle-tested sophomores and all-Bay Valley conference selections Kylee Daniels (Woodcreek HS) and Taylor Galli (Lincoln HS) along with Santana Ramsey (Woodcreek) and Addisen Rico (Wheatland). Additionally, Holy Names University transfer and Gridley product Elizabeth Osbourne has joined forces. The freshmen class includes Alexis Zimmerman and Lele Baisden from Rio Linda, Shawnta Powers from Oroville, Rachel Sprague from Lincoln and local products Jessica Taylor and Blythe Ducheneaux from Wheatland.

The 49ers open up the season by participating in 5 tournaments in the following cities, Santa Clara, Richmond, Visalia, Fresno and Los Angeles. Coach Mayol is confident that playing in these tournaments against state powerhouses will only make his team better.

Good luck 49ers!!!!!
