Handy joins Yuba College men's soccer after serving the previous three years as the Head Coach for the William Jessup University men's soccer team.  While at William Jessup University, Handy help lead the program to its best season in program history in 2013, winning the North Division in the Cal-Pac Conference and appearing in the conference tournament for the programs first time.  Handy then spent the next two years helping the program transition into the prominent Golden State Athletic Conference.  

Prior to WJU Handy served as an assistant coach for Chico State University men's soccer team. During his tenure with the Wildcats, the Wildcats won three consecutive (2010, 2011 and 2012) California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) North Division and reached the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships in 2010 and 2011. The Wildcats were 37-14-10 over the last three years which included a 30-9-7 record in CCAA conference play. During those three years, Handy coached thirteen All-Conference and ten All-NCAA West Region players. His responsibilities for the Wildcats' included recruiting, overseeing the team's daily training and weight program, coordinating travel and fundraising efforts, and served as co-director of the Chico State soccer camps. Handy holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I Diploma.

 A native of Marysville, California, Handy played collegiate soccer at CSU Stanislaus from 2002-2006 and earned All CCAA second team honors in 2006 as well as a Far West Region Honorable Mention. In 2005, Handy was also selected to the CCAA's All-Academic team. He played high school soccer at Marysville High School. After graduating from CSU Stanislaus, he earned his master's degree in sports management in December 2011 from the University of San Francisco.  Robbie and his family, wife Kristy and four children Kate, Jack, Luke and Ruby reside in Marysville, CA. 



Assistant Coach

Christian Filbrun joins Yuba College Men's Soccer after 3 years of play at William Jessup University (2014-2016).  In his last year of play, Filbrun helped the Warriors achieve their best record in program history going 9-7-1, competing in one of the toughest NAIA conferences, the Golden State Athletic Conference.  Filbrun was recognized nationally and within the conference and was named to the Daktronics- NAIA Scholar Athletes Team.  Filbrun helped anchor the defense in his final season of play.  He played high school at Western Sierra.

Residing in Lincoln, CA, Filbrun will graduate in April 2017 after only three years with a Bachelor of Arts in History from William Jessup University.  He has over 16 years of playing experience at both the club and collegiate level.
